Update

We updated our home study for the 3rd time in November. We know that God has a plan and that our child is out there but the waiting is NOT easy. Everyone that I talk to who has adopted say the wait is worth it but honestly I am tried of waiting. I am so ready for Johnny and I to be parents and share our love for God, each other and family with a child. There are so many things that cross my mind and I think I can't wait to be able to do that with our child. We are blessed to have nieces/nephews that we get to do things with but also want to have those memories with our child or children.
We have set up the nursery and will have to get pictures taken and post. It is so cute!! My mom and niece, Karlee made the curtains and did a really good job. Karlee did most of the work and this was her first project. Because they made them makes them extra special to us.
We are trying to spread the word more that we are trying to adopt and besides the passalong cards and fliers we have emailed our church family a letter and also have a facebook page www.facebook.com/HelpJohnnyandKimAdopt.
I can't wait till the day I can post that we are parents!!!

Update

As you can tell I don't update everything that is going on because I want this to be more of a profile for people to view and not every little details. I am happy to share details with anyone just ask. It is time to update our homestudy again so we have started all that paperwork. We still believe that this is the path that God has for us and continue to pray. We also pray for everyone involved in the adoption process from birthparents, their family member to social workers. We don't know when, from where or by whom we will be blessed with our child but know it will happen. We are still working with Bethany Christian Services and telling everyone we know to spread the word for an independent adoption. An independent adoption is where we locate our birthmother (first mother) and take care of all the details with the help of adoption attorneys and not through an agency.
Blessings,
Kim

"Blessings"

These are the words to a song that I love. It is by Laura Story.

"Blessings"
We pray for blessings
We pray for peace
Comfort for family, protection while we sleep
We pray for healing, for prosperity
We pray for Your mighty hand to ease our suffering
All the while, You hear each spoken need
Yet love us way too much to give us lesser things

Cause what if Your blessings come through raindrops
What if Your healing comes through tears
What if a thousand sleepless nights
Are what it takes to know You're near
What if trails of this life are Your mercies in disguise

We pray for wisdom
Your voice to hear
And we cry in anger when we cannot feel You near
As if every promise from Your Word is not enough
All the while, You hear each desperate plea
And long that we 'd have faith to believe

Cause what if Your blessing comes through raindrops
What if Your healing comes through tears
What if a thousand sleepless nights
Are what it takes to know You're near
And what if trials of this life are Your merices in disguise

When friends betray us
When darkness seems to win
We know the pain reminds this heart
That this is not, this is not our home
It's not our home

Cause what if Your blessings come through raindrops
What if Your healing comes through tears
And what if a thousand sleepless nights
Are what it takes to know You're near
What if my greatest disappointments
Or the aching(s) of this life
Is the revealing of a greater thirst this world can't satisfy
And what if trails of this life
The rain, the storms, the hardest nights
Are Your mercies in disguise
